Any device plugged in after boot seems to function correctly. I have the following devices plugged into back-panel USB 2.0:Īny number of these can fail to connect on boot. The 990XA back panel has 8x USB 2.0 and 2x USB 3.0 ports.Īvailable via internal headers are 6x USB 2.0 (unused), and 2x USB 3.0 (hooked up to case front). I'm dual-booting Windows, which has no USB- or networking-related issues. I tried an Ubuntu liveCD, which also shared these problems. This does not seem to have fixed the errors. As I had nothing irreplacable, I reinstalled arch from scratch. On installation, my existing arch install complained about usb. I recently purchased a new GA-990XA-UD3 motherboard. Enable IOMMU in bios, and optionally(?) add iommu=soft or iommu=pt to boot command kernel line.
